How the 2% Buyer Commission Model Works
In many transactions, the seller or listing brokerage may offer compensation to the buyer’s broker. At Penny Kingdom Realty, buyer representation is based on a 2% commission model.
If the offered buyer-broker compensation is more than 2%, the difference may be credited back toward your allowable closing costs when permitted by your lender, loan program, purchase contract, escrow/closing rules, and applicable law.
That means you still receive direct broker support, local guidance, offer strategy, negotiation help, and contract-to-closing support — while potentially reducing your allowable closing costs when the compensation offered is above 2%.
